Double Bracelet: Harmony Collection "Wisdom" River Stones in Yellow and White Bronze, Champagne Gems, Warm Tones
From the day we are born, we are shapeshifting. Within us and on our exterior, we are an ongoing process of change, reshaping, refinement, reinvention… tumbling and rolling along on the current that moves us through life.
“A wise person is like a smoothly-polished rock: it takes time to become either.” -Vera Nazarian
I collect river stones for casting when I’m out walking along the shores of our many lush waterways here in Arkansas. Shapes, textures and size all contribute to the selection process before I bring them home and prepare them for mold-making.
I work in metal clay, both bronze and silver. It’s an awe-inspiring process that begins as a lump of boring-looking clay. And after shaping, kiln-firing and metalsmithing, it emerges as a stunning precious metal adornment.
This pair of yellow and white bronze bracelets is designed to be worn together. The one with larger rocks is made with contemporary bezel-set gemstones while the strand of smaller rocks features embedded gems. Both have been heat-treated with a color wash in warm tones to push forward the champagne-colored gems.
My bracelets are comfortable and durable. Yet dazzling for evening or a special occasion. Highest-quality lab-produced gemstones remain stable, kiln-fired at 1600°F, and will not cloud or scratch easily, rating 8.5 on the Moh’s Hardness Scale. Stones are brilliant round classic-cut, champagne color.
7.5” circumference
